Today’s bright sunny Sunday morning featured several interesting regions of activity on the Sun. A dramatic and very prominent dark filament is interacting with sunspot AR1112. AR1112 has brightened in the past two days and exhibits vigorous magnetic activity.
Rising on the opposite side of AR1112 is new sunspot AR1113. A prominence is visible on the Sun’s limb. Another large dark filament is also present north of AR1112.
