Supposedly scheduled on November 18, the meeting was held instead on Nov. 26 on request of PNU admin staff. About 80 PAS members, guests, and students from Rizal Technological University, Philippine Normal University (PNU), and La Salle Araneta University attended the meeting held at PNU Maceda Auditorium.
Engr. Dacanay was not able to lecture because of an emergency but all else went as scheduled, including the stargazing after the meeting.

The Philippine Astronomical Society held its monthly meeting at Mall of Asia's Science Discovery Center on Saturday June 18 from 4 to 6:30 PM.
A total of 136 attended the meeting composed of teachers/students from St. Mary's High School Pasay; St. Paul, Pasig; North Fairview High School; Quezon City Science High School, DPS Sky Explorer, RTU Astronomy Society; and PAS members.
After the Opening Prayer by Hernan Dizon, Engr. Camilo Dacanay lectured on Our Known and Conscious Observable Universe followed by the lecture of Chary Silva on Nature of Our Solar System. Prof. Edmund Rosales presented the third lecture on Zodiacal Constellation vs Horoscope - Which of the Two Tells Our Future.
The meeting ended with the announcement/Info on the 2nd leg of PAS Continuing Education Program at UP Los Banos on August 20 (details to be posted next week).
Fifteen new members also officially joined the organization.

The UP Astronomical Society (Diliman), RTU Astronomy Society, PNU Astronomical Society, and the Philippine Astronomical Society held a joint meeting at the RTU Astronomy Center last January 15 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM to discuss each group's plan for the National Astronomy Week celebration on February 19-26, 2011.
The respective Presidents of the Societies presented/discussed their plans. Above tabulated schedule is the consolidated plan of NAW activities (further details to come). Note that the Opening Program on February 19 and the Opening Day activities will be conducted by the Philippine Astronomical Society with the collaboration of the League of Ateneo Physicists and all the other Societies. The Astronomiya sa Kalsada on the closing day February 26 will similarly be joined in by all.
