The Department of Tourism has been in collaboration with the Philippine Astronomical Society in the former's promotional efforts to upgrade and to sustain the learning of its office staff and tour guides in the realm of astro-tourism and geophysics, specifically how climate and Earth's forces impact tourism and tourist areas.
Board Chairman Engr. Camilo Dacanay thus has been traveling everywhere in the Philippines for his lecture and stargazing, courtesy of DOT. He was in Tuguegarao from August 2 to 5, flies to Virac, Catanduanes on August 6, and then back to the Cordillera Provinces on August 9. These are just for the month of August 2016 alone, but he has been doing this for PAS and DOT for years already.
That's how hectic his outreach schedule has been throughout the country in the name of astronomy. Details of the places he visited will be posted when accurately collated for PAS record and reference.
The photos below show only a minuscule of the places he has been to. These are more interesting photos than showing the same lectern and microphone pictures when he is lecturing.
