You must have seen his impressive collection of rockets and spaceship models that PASer Adrian Saldana himself constructed and donated to the Philippine Astronomical Society during the past two National Astronomy Week celebrations.
Yes, he patiently made these himself - such singular devotion to astronomy and unequalled/unmatched skill and inborn talent in making these models. The purpose is for this collection to be exhibited during the Science Week on request of colleges and high schools and to be displayed during the NAW celebrations. In fact, these were the prime focus during the NAW 2014; and all contests-participating students and their coaches and parents gravitated to these exhibits.
Currently, his works are displayed at the PAS Office at the 7th Floor of Semicon Bldg. in Pasig, Rizal.
Adrian Saldana, 21 years old, is an AB Multimedia Arts student at the Lyceum of the Philippines and is an avid cosplayer and scale modeller.
He has a keen interest in astronomy, but this has grown even further when he assembled a 1:24 scale model of the Voyager Interplanetary Space Probe. Since then, he has been assembling paper models of space observatories and interplanetary probes for use by PAS and its outreach programs.
Aside from doing scale models, Adrian greatly enjoys cosplaying and attends cosplay conventions and photoshoots during his free time.
